Eleven people is not nothing
The number that stuck with me from this week’s episode was eleven. That’s how many people signed up when Theo launched the thing he’d spent a year building. Eleven.
If you’ve shipped anything, you know the specific cold feeling of that moment. You brace for a wave and you get a ripple. The instinct is to read it as a verdict: not good enough.
But Theo did the thing almost nobody does. He treated eleven as a sample, not a sentence. He called them. He watched them. He found out what they were actually doing with it — and built toward that, for eighteen quiet months, until the eleven became enough.
